Totally Stampalicious Masculine Challenge

Every Monday Totally Stampalicious  issues a new challenge.  The challenge for this week is a to create a Masculine card.   Let's see what you can come up with using this theme. I have used "Gus Hunter" for my stamp/image today :)

Here is my card for today's challenge:

This is a hard challenge for me as I don't make too many Masculine Cards.  I wanted to dig out those embellishments, but I held back and added only 2 buttons, the only things I had that looked masculine.....

Hop on over to the Totally Stampalicious Blog HERE and check out the rest of the super talented Design Teams creations for your inspiration! I can't wait to see what wonderful creations come out of this awesome challenge! Happy crafting!!

Happy Father's Day!!!!

Hello everyone!! I am here on this wonderful Friday with a project that uses one of the new Stamp-It Australia "Guys in Our Life" stamp line.I hope you enjoy it.

This would have been the perfect card for my Dad.  He was a Carpenter for his whole life, he passed away 4 yrs ago.  So this card is for you Dad.....

I made a Double Dutch Fold card.  I stamped the image several times and colored them all with Spectrum Noir markers.  I kept one of the images whole and fussy cut out each piece on the others and layered them on top of one of the images about 2 times.  I added some silver pearls to the corners for the finishing touch.  I have such a hard time making masculine cards, but I like how this turned out.....

Here are the directions on making a Double Dutch Fold card:

1.  Take a 5 1/2 x 11 inch piece of card stock and score at 4 inches.
2.  Take a 3 x 11 inch piece of card stock and score at  2 3/4 inches from each end.
3.  Take the 3 x 11 inch scored card stock and attach to the bottom of the 5 1/2 x 11 piece.
4.  Decorate as you wish.
This can also be made smaller if you wish.  I used the Ultimate tool is for scoring my card stock/paper. It comes with a wonderful book that shows you how to make different types of cards/projects.  Check it out......

See you all next Friday with another project of another new release..

Floral Heart Wreath

Cornish Heritage Farms has a bunch of digital images.  Check them out HERE.  I used a digital image called Floral Heart Wreath for my card today.

My card is very simple.  I colored in my image using copics.  I used a border punch for my border pieces. Voila, simple but very pretty.

Sweet Stamps Stamped Frame Challenge

Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is to create a card/project with a stamped frame.  This is an awesome challenge, we want to see what you come up with for this theme. Can't wait to see what you all can come up with, but be sure to use a Sweet Stamps stamp....

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree. Visit the design team blog and you will see what everyone on the Design team has done.

Here is my creation:

For this challenge I decided to go with clean and simple.  The frame stamps at Sweet Stamps are so beautiful and for this challenge I wanted to show off the "Rose Scroll Frame 7025".  I also used the sentiment "Thank You Elegant 933". I had some of this pearly cardstock in a very light purple shade. I cut and folded my card to the size of 5x6 (the size of the actual frame stamp).  I stamped my rose scroll frame onto this cardstock and colored it in with my copics.  I then stamped the stamp again onto leftover card stock and colored and fussy cut out the roses.  I popped up the cut out roses to give the card a bit of dimension.  The only embellishment I added was some stretchy silver ribbon/cord.  I really like how this turned out, so simple, but so very pretty.

Be sure to visit Sweet Stamps blog and see what the rest of the team has created for you.   And please join in on the fun!

Before we get started I wanted to share the project I made for you today.   I used the SWALK Deserve a Treat stamp set.  My card is 5" square.  My matting behind my image is done with a border die cut that I cut apart and placed piece by piece.  My image is colored with the Spectrum Noir markers.

And here is another card using one of the NEW Humphrey stamps that will soon be available at Crafter's Companion:

Humphrey is colored in using the Spectrum Noir markers.  I stamped Humphrey 3 times and colored in certain areas and fussy cut them out and popped them up on the main image to give my card a little bit of dimension.
