Friends

Today is another release day at Whimsy Stamps.
Meljen's Designs is release some new great digital images.
Take a look at Whimsy Stamps Store to see them.

I have not been feeling too great these past 2 wks as I am on
a new medication and well the side effects have really gotten
to me. I'm waiting to hear back from my Dr on what we are going to try now.
So today, instead of using one of Meljen's Digital images
that are being release today, I decided to try my hand at
embossing.  I wanted to do something that didn't require too much
thought and well using my copics does. I got my
order in the mail last week with some new stamps and one of the
dies and well, they just seemed to be calling to me to use them.

So, for my card today I have used a combination of 2 stamp
sets and one of the new dies
that were just released from Raindrop Echo Designs
at Whimsy Stamps .  The stamp sets are Postage Stamp Sentiments and
Birthday Postage Stamp Sentiments and the new Postage Stamp Die.
These can be found in the Whimsy Stamps Store Here and Here and Here.

I took one of the small circular sentiments and stamped it randomly
using Top Boss onto my Kraft Cardstock and embossed it with
Black Detail Embossing Powder. I then stamped my bigger
postage stamps onto Cryogen card stock and embossed those
using Blue, Green and Purple sparkly embossing powder.
I then used the Postage Stamp Die to cut all three of them out.

Here's a Close up of the 3 Postage Stamps:

I then added some ribbon and bows across the bottom of the card to finish
it off.

Thanks for coming to visit today and I hope you will go to the Whimsy Stamps
Blog and check out what the other Design Team members have
created with these great stamps and images.
Hopefully I'll be back to my normal self soon and will be back
to coloring with my Copics.

Project Recipe:
Stamps: Whimsy Stamps Postage Stamp Sentiments, Whimsy Stamps Birthday Postage Stamp Sentiments
Paper: Kraft Card Stock, Cryogen Card Stock
Copics: NONE
Accessories: Top Boss, Black detail embossing powder, purple, blue and green sparkly embossing powder, Whimsy Stamps Postage Stamp Die, ribbon

Spring Fever Blog Hop with The Stamping Boutique

We are hosting a "Spring Fever" blog hop this month ! We are
all sick of the snow and would love a little sunshine and flowers to pop in
so we decided to bring them on ourselves! And bring it we did!!

You'll have to make sure you hop to every design team blog.
Make sure you comment on EACH blog post for TSB to be eligible
for the prize, our 4 new spring images.

You will need to start at Amanda's blog and work your way through
the group! At The Stamping Boutique, there will be
an Inlinkz where you can post your comment after you have
completed the hop!! From this list, the winner will be chosen
randomly.

The hop will run from Saturday, February 19th 12AM EST
and you will have until Sunday, February 20th 6PM EST.
After that time, the comments will be tallied and the winner will be
randomly picked.

You should have came here from Dardi's blog, if not please
go back to the beginning of the hop, which is, Amanda's Blog.

Today I have used a digital image called "Bunny Egg".

I printed my digital image out onto Cryogen Card Stock and
colored it with my Copic Markers.  I cut around my
colored image, but left a little edge all the way around
it.  I took and folded up one corner of the background
paper and added a brad.  I then took and cut out
a few of the Easter Eggs and added them to the
bottom right corner on the green card stock and also
right above the brad.  I then added a bow in the upper right
corner.

We were challenged to use the following sketch for our card:

I kinda flipped it around for my card.  I also left
off the sentiment so that I can add it later if I want to.

Here is a close up of my image:

Isn't she cute???  There are so many cute
images in The Stamping Boutique Store, so go check them
out, you'll be glad you did...

Now continue on the hop to Heide's Blog.....

If you get lost along the way, you can go back

Shades of Pink

Today, I bring you my very first post and challenge for the
Very First Sweet Stamps Design Team.
You can find the Sweet Stamps Blog is HERE .
For our first challenge,
we were challenged to use Pink as the main color and to use any
Sweet Stamps rubber stamp.

I chose to use the stamp called Rose Oval.  This is
such a great stamp and has many uses.  I sat here
trying to figure out if I wanted to cut the inside oval out
and have a card with a window, but in the long run
I decided not to.  I just may make a window card with this stamp
in the future...

Here's a close up of my colored image:

I stamped the stamp onto Cryogen Iridescent White card stock
with Memento Ink and colored with my copics.
My main card base is cut out using French Scalloped Flair XL Stackers Nesting Dies.
I used the largest die to get an almost 6x6 card.

Please check out all the other great projects that the Design Team has made.  You can
see the list of blogs on the Sweet Stamps Blog.

Here is a peek at what the inside of my card looks like:

For the inside, I used the same dies and added another bow and a few swirls.

We have some Sneak Peeks of the NEW Kenny K
rubber stamps today.
Be sure to check out all the DT blogs listed on the

For my Sneak Peek,
I have used a new rubber stamp by Kenny K
called "Uptown Angel".

The ticket sentiments are also available at Whimsy Stamps store.
There is also a Ticket Die to make cutting out the tickets easier.

Here's a close up on my image:

She is of course colored with my copics on Cryogen Iridescent White cardstock.
I am so in LOVE with the Basic Grey paper pads.  For today's
card I have used the last of my Sugar Rush papers.
I like the way that all the papers in the pad coordinate
with each other. I just bought about 5 other Basic Grey
paper pads, so be on the lookout for more cards using them.

And here's the inside of my card:

I just used more of the papers from the Sugar Rush
paper pad and my Martha Stewart border punch and then added
some ribbon and bows.

Acetate Card

Today I joined in all the fun over at Paper Craft Planet for the Digi Days with The Stamping Boutique.  I loved seeing what the rest of the DT had made.  So I decided to join in the fun.

I have used the Digital image called "Bag of Hearts".  I took my acetate and ran it through my Big Kick with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I then took some score tape and placed it diagonally accross the front of the card and then added some glitter to the tape.  I also took my ribbon and wrapped it around my card, using score tape to hold it in place.  Then added a bow.
I really like how this card turned out, so I may be using more acetate on my cards.

Here's a close up of my image:

And here's another picture of the card:
